There will be canapes, a bit of a quiz (don’t worry you will be on a team) and of course tastings from Sea Cider. We are fundraising for new beds for the dormitory we are building in 2020. Participate in the silent auction or ‘buy a bed’
Take a video tour of the school

Lot of projects have been completed over the last year. Take a video tour to see the school with its new school kitchen, new fence & gate and the well in action. Projects on the horizon or being completed now are the school medical clinic (completion Feb 2019) and a dormitory (completion July 2020).

Video magic – transport yourself to the school in Uganda

We have been back from our August 2017 visit to Uganda for just over 6 weeks. It was a successful trip with lots of projects started and completed. Have a look at how the school looks now.

Uganda August 2017 – an exciting trip just around the corner

Press the Donate Now button to see how you can help. Whether it is for a school library, water purification or new schoolyard benches – we think there will be something that peaks your interest. We have been busy in the early part of 2017 meeting and planning for our trip to Uganda this August.
Christmas Shopping made easy – the chicken does come before the egg at the PODA store.

PODA – UVIC’s ELC supports us!

The students from Gerry Luton’s classes at the UVIC English Language Center chose PODA for their Charity Project. Their fundraising bake sale earned an amazing $1,100.10 – thank you to everyone. Since 2002 these classes have been supporting a variety of charities. Click here to find out more about this initiative.
The students are visiting from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Mexico, Colombia, Panama & Brazil. It is impressive that while studying in Canada they are also helping to support students in rural Uganda.
PODA – successful campaign to buy beds, nets, lanterns & goats!

We had a very successful Christmas campaign – our tally was 23 lanterns, 22 beds, 15 goats, & 13 nets. Thank you PODA supporters! Our first priority was to order the beds to be ready for the beginning of the school year (late February).
When we travel to Uganda in July we will be purchasing the solar lanterns as well as the goats. We are still fundraising for additional beds & nets, you can make a donation here.
This Christmas give the gift of light, health & comfort – visit the PODA store
